ஒரு மழைப்பொழுதில் (On a rainy day)

கால் சட்டையை அரைக்காலாக்கிக்
கையைக் குடையாக்கிக்
கொஞ்சம் உலர்வாகவும்
நிறைய ஈரமாகவும்
அறைக்கு வந்து சேர்ந்தேன்;

சலனமின்றி,
என் வருகைக்காகக் காத்திருந்தது
ஜன்னலருகே வைத்துச் சென்ற
சோப்பு

Folding pants over the knees
Holding hands over the head
Less dry and more wet
Opened the doors to my room

There lied the detergent soap
Near the window, with bubbles of hope
Unperturbed,calm and cool
Waiting for me to save it from doom
